These are some of the common words associated with alcoholic beverages in Japan. There are obviously more, but this is a good start.

酒 sake: alcohol
さけ

ワイン wain: wine

赤 aka: red
白 shiro: white

ビール bi-ru: beer

生ビール nama bi-ru: draft beer

チューハイ: chu-hai, typically fruity "cocktail" type beverage (similar alcohol content to beer)

ハイボール haibo-ru: highball (whiskey and soda mixed drink)

ウィスキー: whiskey

日本酒 nihonshu: japanese liquor (sake)    Japanese Alcohol: 日本酒
にほんしゅ

梅酒 umeshu: plum wine
うめしゅ

焼酎 shochu: literally "fire water," shochu is a distilled beverage
しょうちゅう

泡盛: awamori, Okinawan distilled beverage
あわもり

リキュール: liqueur 
**度 alcohol percent/content
アルコール分 alcohol percent
辛口: dry
甘口: sweet
